Uh oh! Calling all Kernal fans!!! (lots of pics)

Quote:
1. He sleeps downstairs with his hen.
2. When It's time for bed I walk down the stairs as he follows then he flys up in his cage.
3.He gets free roam when I am home.

Anymore questions?

I didn't know you can train a chicken to poop in a certain place. How'd you do that? Mine don't seem that trainable. They just poop everywhere. (But I have noticed they especially like to poop right after I let them out of their coop. ) It would be possible to let them in the house if they could be potty trained a bit.

Nope, not right now. Maybe later, though.

that is the most fabulous tail I have ever seen. where did you get him? he doesn't look like a hatchery baby.

as for potty training, my sister has potty trained two parrots - if you catch them going potty, you quickly say "go potty, go potty" and, depending on how fast they learn, when ever you say "go potty, go potty" they will go!! be warned, say "G.P." if you are talking about it and you don't really want them to go. My dad learned this the hard way, and it involved his laptop.

maybe you could do that with the chicken? I don't know if they are as smart as parrots

but it's certainly worth a shot.

I was showing Kernal's to my kids, showing the how beautiful his tail feathers are, and how clean he is from being able to stay inside. My DH walked up and stood there for a minute. Then he said, "Don't even think about having a house chicken." Like I would ever think that.
