I'm beginning to worry that my Charlotte might be a cockerel. What do you think? She's an Ameraucana (possibly a mix--I bought mine from a woman with a backyard flock who may have had a little mix-up when putting hens with roosters), about 7 weeks old. I've noticed that her comb is redder and more pronounced than my other two chicks, but I thought that might be breed differences. But after doing some reading on the forums here, I'm beginning to wonder--I've also noticed that the feathers on her back haven't filled in quite as much as the other two, and she's always been a little bigger (but again, I thought that might be breed differences, since the other two are a Black Sex Link and a Golden-Laced Wyandotte/Barred Rock mix, or because she might have been a day or so older than the other two).

I've posted 3 photos below. What do you think? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a pullet, since I can't have roosters.

Thanks for any help!

Sure--might take me a little bit but I'll get a shot of them.

Charlotte is a boy and he is an Easter Egger, not an Ameraucana. He won't have spurs yet. Roosters do not get spurs till they are well over six months old, plus both sexes have tiny bumps where the spurs will be, so at this age, pictures of that area will not help with sexing.

Hens can have spurs, too, by the way.
