I wonder if Sean Connery was a bit like Mel in his younger years. I know Sean was "mouthy" and "boorish". Must be the Scottish traits!
Oh Roman Polanski....if it happens YEARS ago, he shoudl have been caught and serve time. Sometimes statue of limitations can go so far. I don't think Roman will go too far with Hollywood.

one of my best friend is in a funny relationship, where things are really good for a while, and then things get really, really bad. sometimes when things are really, really, really bad, and he hits her, she will turn on the videocamera, and hide it in a plant, then try to get him to say/do things in view of the camera... I'm divided on this, because he does so much to her where there's no proof, that she should be able to get some on camera, but sort of goading him into it at that moment seems like cheating... then of course, when things are good again, she deletes the tapes..
I'm not making excuses for his bad behavior. Just pointing out that sometime, just sometimes, someone figures out HOW to evoke those emotions. And then uses it to full advantage. She will probably end up with half, if not all, of his money. JUST WHAT SHE SET OUT TO DO!

I had a good friend years ago that acted almost identically to Mel. Fortunately for him he was not famous so the world could care less. His ex, and I watched her, needled, poked, berated, and verbally abused him. His response cost him. He made it physical. Now he's happily married, for approx 20years, to a loving wife who saw past his past and isn't a...........hag.
As for the "N" word. Anyone who says they've never said it is a liar. It cost a good cop his job years ago and a murderer was set free. Because the idiot lied about ever using it.
And we are still allowed our opinions no matter how misplaced they may be. We still can say stupid things, and not get crucified for it. I say them all the time. (NOT the racial crap, just stupid things)

Ok.. This is the first I have heard that Mel is in trouble. Without cable TV I have no idea what is going on any more. I dont even know what new movies are coming out.. I havent heard any thing on the net until this. But the only news I get on the internet is when it is on my email home page..
