So, my fiance finally realized something today.
Chicken math sucks. He may be an engineer...but cannot comprehend chicken math. He asked me how many birds I will be taking with me to PA. I said "All of them!"
"Uh...all the grown ones?"
"No, all of them. All the ones that hatch too. That's why I'm hatching them so early this year, so they'll be feathered out for the trip."
"Wait, so you mean that those 40 eggs in the incubator will hatch and you intend on taking them with us to PA, where we don't even have a place FOR them yet?! That's too many!"
"Well, not all the eggs in the incubator will hatch, I'm giving up four full-grown birds, going to give dad some of the culls that I don't want..."
"How many Mikaela?"
"I won't know until they're grown."
"How long will that take?"
"Uh...a few months..."
"In time for the move?"
"Maybe? I'm sure I'll have culled some by the time of the move."
*Angry glare from Brandon*
