LOL Sorry. I don't know a better way to explain it. I have one BO hen that has poo on her butt feathers. Her vent looks perfectly fine to me and she is not behaving oddly at all. Other than it looking nasty, should I be concerned? I am not ready to get all freaked out since it happens to our dogs from time to time and we just trim the fur. Can you do that with chickens? I don't really want to bring her in the house and get her all wet, dried and warm and then toss her back out into the freezing cold.

My husband was wondering if she could wind up with frostbite on her rear if I do that. Given the temps, it seems like a reasonable concern. What do you think?

Just trim off the poopy parts and put her back out. Wouldn't worry about frost bite if she has plenty of feather surrounding the trimmed area....

Or you could wash her bottom and use a hair dryer.

If butt stays wet it can cause skin problems that is why it is better to keep it trimmed or cleaned till her runny poop clears up.
