UK Member Please Say HI

Hello everyone - I have just discovered this thread...where have I been?? I actually live in the US, but remain a Brit at heart - born and raised in Kent but called Bath, Somerset my home. We live on 15 acres in rural NY state where we enjoy raising our own chickens for eggs - next year meat birds too :fl
We also raise Breda fowl (Kraaikops) and farm rabbits.

Hi & welcome to the thread.

Sounds a nice set up you have.
I'm also a breeder of meat birds and can tell you that's there's some real good threads going on the Meat bird section.
Eggscellent! ;) I look forward to delving into that...I am still researching my needs for meat birds, housing etc. thanks for the heads up

Morning on a very wet Derbyshire day!
I have lurked here as a non-member for some time but finally got myself together and become a Member... I love my Pekin Bantams and thats all I keep... I breed them in silverlace - Millefleur and hopefully from next year Columbian in blue - dun'platinum/khaki and the occassional isabel/lavender and red
Although non-standard birds I do hope to maintain a goal of slowly improving type from back garden birds to exhibition type in the future... fingers crossed!

Welcome! Sounds like you have plenty of work ahead of you...:)

Hello all - nothing chicken related but I'm need of a recipe. I remember one of my Mums' old cook books had a recipe for Rowan Jelly - anyone know of a good recipe, can't find anything like it here in the US.

Welcome to the thread & :welcome

I love pekins, wish I'd kept some when I did a hatch of them. Might get some more when my polish are in smaller numbers.

:frow

I'm afraid I'm no good at cooking and the only jelly I can manage is the stuff you disolve in hot water
