UK Member Please Say HI

I really hate the winters that seem to drag on forever
It is the wet / grey winters like last one that do my head in! Cold I can cope with if it comes with blue skies (that is my Aussiness at play!).
She now has a son of her own and one on the way so is only a matter of time until the tables turn lol.
LOL - mum finds it amusing at times too

Hi everyone! I just posted a hello on the main welcome page but thought I would post a quick message here too. I'm originally from Cornwall but living in Sheffield and have 3 silkie chicks, all five weeks old. Look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to the thread! Silkies sure are soft little birds! My friend used to keep them for her kids. They used to take them in to school assemblies for show & tell.

Welcome all !:frow
Not sure what winter will show us here in the US this year. Not excessive snow last year, but the cold dragged on and on...The weather forecasters say a mild winter, so we are preparing for blizzards and shutdowns:hmm.
At least we have a snow blower this year so I won't have to shovel paths to the coops thank you God!
Hi :frow
where I am in England it is very mild at the moment and we still have sun, which is totally opposite to what our weather usually is at this time of year - whether that means we will end up with a ton of snow fall eventually I don't know but the consensus here seems to be, we'll end up paying back for the nice weather somewhere along the line - got to be said though our extreme weather although extreme to us, is a walk in the park compared to the extremes you guys get over there! :)
