Oh no Barbara, I'm so sorry about Vippy I know you put so much work into her last time and this time, you gave her that chance but as you say you could not stop her eating things she shouldn't be. You really have gone above and beyond with the care you give to your birds so don't you be feeling any kind of guilt for not spotting it sooner

Sorry I've been away for so long guys. But Oscar went into hospital so his photo standing up looking into the incubators is the last time we will see him like that x He's alive and thank God not paralysed now, but the little fellow has months of phyisio and hydro therapy, and drugs that would silence a rave!
It was a disc ruptured and bleeding into his spine slowly paralysing him. But Dick Whites Newmarket sorted him out.
And the chicky-chicks are doing extremely well. Thank Goodness!

Started again after 20 years and just got my 3 breeding groups sorted and a lots of various which I use to sell eggs .
Customer like the different coloured eggs.

Wow that's quite a break there from keeping. I have mainly polish so my customers in general get white eggs and that's it but they seem quite happy and enjoy some of the smaller bantam eggs. Every little helps though and all egg money goes back into the feed jar, not that I even break even on that front

He is a jack bless him. The good news is we've got him in for hydrotherapy on Monday at D.Ws hydro on a treadmill, places are like gold dust. But he's in

On a different note entirely, my chicks are all still in the brooder as I didn't think they are old enough to be outside yet. But this morning we heard our first cock crow when we were cleaning out the brooder and then what I can only describe as "Rumpy-Pumpy" ensued. I don't know who was more shocked me or the hen! The first 3 hatched on the 16th April the last ones, of which this mornings lathareo is one, hatched on the 20th. Is this normal chaps?

I put mine out at 5 weeks once they are fully feathered it's fine! Mine are also being naughty with eachother lol. I expect you had different hot spots in your inc so some weren't as ready as others. Mine hatched over a few days I think it's normal. I also have a jack Russell beautiful dogs aren't they
