Hallo all,
Just dropping in to say hallo from South Wales.
We are lucky enough to have recently moved to a new home with plenty of space to be able to return to keeping chickens - so the incubator is full & there are some ex battery ladies arriving soon. & we are busy busy getting their accommodation up to standard!
Thank you & - thanks for the tip! - I'll keep a close eye on the humidity!Good luck with your hatchNice breeds you have in there. I've found hatching this late especially if the central heating is on is that I tend to need a slightly higher humidity during incubation. I put this down to the heating drying the air out.

Hi again
I'm not far from Doncaster, north side of Thorne for me just in East Yorkshire
Yeah I find I need it a tad higher when the heating is on so the eggs don't lose to much moisture. I start at 35% for the first 7 days until I candle. If the air cells look too big I put the humidity up to about 45% to slow them down.
