UK Member Please Say HI

Hallo all,
Just dropping in to say hallo from South Wales.
We are lucky enough to have recently moved to a new home with plenty of space to be able to return to keeping chickens - so the incubator is full & there are some ex battery ladies arriving soon. & we are busy busy getting their accommodation up to standard!
Hi Anvia South Wales UK here also. near Barry. Nice for you to have space to keep chickens again, I think you are excited and have been waiting a while for this ?. Ive only just started, in fact only been keeping chickens for 3 weeks lol so im learning a lot on the way.
Strange thing is, now since Ive started keeping chickens a lot of people I know have enjoyed bringing the subject up and its a lovely conversational topic.

:frow Is anyone out there?

Hope everyone is well? Busy busy here so it's been eating into my BYC time :( I have to say I'm looking forward to the weekend!
Yup - we're here! US weather has been diabolically hot 90s' for the last several days  - today 60F. Love (and miss)the English summer weather - really I do :). Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Back to being rainy and dark mornings I was working early shifts this week so I start at 7 am so up at 5.30 am to sort creatures before go to work so I was out just after 6am sorting the quails I'm still getting eggs at the mo but I'm sure they will stop soon

Yes these dark mornings sure are depressing :( I'm always up between 5 & 6 in a morning and during the summer was getting out riding early doors. Not now as it's too dark to even think about heading out on the roads. I'm not looking forward to when the clocks change and it's dark at 5pm!

Hi all, what you up to this weekend?
:frow Hi Dave C. Me just finished painting wood to build my run, waiting for coop to be delivered next week. Not sure how these spritely people on here get up at 5 am though :wee:D:eek:

Yorkshire Coop, odd that my Joffrey is getting more white feathers by the day, and the feathers on his head is going a bit `mohican` lol. I love him to bits, he sits on my shoulder now an then now. Shall have to upload pic.

Hi all, what you up to this weekend?

Catching up on laundry! Weather should be better today so I should at least be able to get it outside. Been out riding twice this morning (Harry was not impressed) Got my Saturday horse jobs done, hay nets for the week, field waters scrubbed out and refilled. Poo picked the field too. Now I'm just waiting for Charlie and his Dad to get back from a shooting show in Doncaster with a KFC :drool Then it's time to start my chicken jobs outside.

Joffrey sounds like he's coming on great, can't wait to see the pics of him :) Yes I'm an early bird, always more productive in a morning!
