Yes I have coop cleaning to do but goodness it's wet and miserable out there today Had a few flakes of snow over here in the east but nothing to mean anything.

Great idea on moving Dave, I have my little prison/sick bay coop on the block paving. It's a bit easier to keep clean then.

Well I've done my cleaning jobs and brought Dave in to warm up a bit and give him a wash! He's looking a bit better, but still rather smelly :/ my dad has agreed to let me move him into his shed, so hopefully he will be a bit better in there. He is currently driving the dog wild as I have him in the dog crate in the kitchen. I still can't decide if I am being cruel by keeping him alive or not, I just don't feel as if I am doing enough for him :/ considered putting him up for adoption in hopes someone else may be able to care for him more than I can, but I don't know

Managed to fit Dave in the shed ^_^ he seems a lot happier now he is clean and dry!

I know just how you feel about having to make that decision on keeping them alive or not. Try not to let your heart rule your head when you make the decision

I think I'm going to see how he does over he next few weeks. Had this horrible feeling that if I left him out over the winter then that might be the end of him, but then again we have had some pretty bad weather and quite a bit of snow and he has fought through it. Hopefully being on his own out of the wind and clean and dry and a little bit warmer will do him a bit of good.
How are your lot doing? Not had any winter ailments? Horse ok?

I'm sure the dry and draft free shed will be most appreciated by Dave, as you say it may perk him up.

no winter ailments for the birds! All seem to be doing ok right now. They only came out for food and water today before heading back into their coops. A bit cold, wet and windy for them today. Molting in this weather seems totally crazy to me!

Harry horse has been under the weather I'm afraid He was anaemic, getting over a virus/infection when I got the vet to run some blood tests. He also has a heart murmur which has got worse. In general he is feeling his age all of a sudden, he's quiet compared to his usual self.

Aw no! How old is he? Poor soul, I hope he picks up soon. Not nice seeing them unwell.
I'm glad your flock haven't gone through anything yet, a couple of mine are sneezing but nothing too much to worry about I don't think.
