@yorkshire coop it's mad what can stem from ones childhood and considering embden geese and stretch to 3 foot and most of them are grumpy as sin im not surprised you have negative memories of them. Like I can deal with spiders, bees even wasps to some extent but show me an earwig and I'm out of there faster then an ostrich on a rocket!
That's actually a really cleaver idea with the slabs. Maybe I could buy some polish chicks off you, all I've seen advertised round here are Plymouth Rock hybrids, very egg-citing time of the year indeed.
@Rudies Roost Am glad I'm not the only one I think what GGbear said about the lasers and GoPros sums it up nicely haha though I was tempted to try and turn an old clay pegeon sling shot into an anti bird turret
The only thing that comes to mind when they say supervised is stand out there with them, but at the same time high risk areas are only high risk because they found infected birds there I'd still be skeptical of which direction the infected bird flew in from. Plus we're relying on the fact that people are reporting infected birds to defra which I imagine a lot of people would want to keep something like that quiet to not loose business.
Sorry I'm going on a rant now and thinking way to much into it haha
I think you should get some I've heard geese do well with ducks sometimes act as sentries for them, I built mine a 8x13 metre fenced and netted area and pray to god they don't destroy it haha
