Greetings all chicken lovers everywhere. My wife and I have decided that this country acre needs chickens.

We live in central Kentucky and are interested in layers, because my wife can't eat anything she has named. LOL.

I have this crazy book, Raising Chickens for Dummies. I figured it was written for me, as it has my name on the cover. (No, not the chicken part)

Step one, learn. That's why I'm here.
Step two, build. If you build it, they will cluck; and hopefully lay some eggs.
Step three, learn some more. Can't hurt.
Step four, buy chickens that lay eggs. Might help, after all.
Step five, don't ever stop learning!

Welcome. It is not that hard. Just think when you build the coop like a very smart predator... and you want in. Then make sure you build it so they can't get in. Then wait ,and the eggs happen....but you need the chickens first.
HEY! I just solved that puzzle!
