HELP!!! Baby chick just hatched, has some blood bleeding from that area.
It was beeling quite a bit, so I added a paper towel underneath, and a heat lamp for it.
Its been about 5 minutes? And the bleeding has reduced a bit.

Please help!

A small update: Bleeding has reduced ALOT :wee Trying to stand and walk around like a big chick already :D

Could you get a photo of the "umbilical cord"? Just want to ensure everything is looking okay.
Congrats on your hatch!!! :jumpy

Update: Bleeding is all gone and the cut is barely visible :D
So the chick is sleeping with the rest of the week one quails, Im a bit worried it will be smushed, but if I keep the baby separated, it screams ands screams until I let her/him with the others.

Is there a size difference?

It's not uncommon for a baby chick to have some bleeding from the area where it hatches.
