My friend is hatching tonight. He has had very good luck previously, using gqf cabinet incubators.
He has had some chicks that fail to pip or fail to hatch, but he just called me in a panic.
He had three chicks that just hatched, they pipped, got out of the egg, but their umbillical cords were stuck to the shell and they pulled part of the chick out when it came out of the egg.
Does anyone have any idea what would cause this? how to prevent it?
