So at 5:44 I went outside to photograph my hens. (Something weird I do regularly) and I went around the corner and a hen was squatting like she was laying an egg. I just decided to come back to her in 5 minutes and get a very fresh egg. Well, I returned, and she wasn't done. Then I went inside, forgot, came back out at about 7:36 and she STILL wasn't done. I have no idea how long this takes, but I don't think it takes two hours. Is this normal? Is it stuck? Do I need to do something? Help!!

Usally it takes a 15 to 30 minutes for hen to lay and egg somtimes sooner

Ugh I'm so confused 😩 she just passed a normal poop but she's still droopy. How can she be egg bound if she passed a poo? Wait.. my dad has covid and I'm going to get a test tonight. does she have covid?!

No chickens don't get Covid (or at least none have been reported).

Have you tried slicking up a finger and manually checking for an egg?
No. she's asleep right now. it's about 10 am, but i heard you can just feel her abdomen. can it wait until morning? she was a little more active last time i checked
