Umm... is this because of my rooster?

Recently I have been catching my rooster mating with my ladies. I ave 2 flocks and he's been doing that with both of them. I also noticed we have been getting tons of double-yolkers. And then, today I heard my hens screaming from inside the coop. So I looked and there were 3 chickens in the nesting boxes and four on the roosts clucking as loud s they possibly can. So I waited awhile and came back out and there were there were three gigantic eggs in the nesting boxes! (poor ladies)
Could the egg size increase be from the rooster fertilizing the eggs?

How old are your girls?

A rooster has nothing to do with double yolk eggs. Double yolk eggs occur when one yolk is released, then in a couple of hours another is also released, both yolks are then are encased into the same shell. This can be seen in young layers (pullets coming into lay) and in older hens going out of lay. Heredity and possibly disturbances within the flock can be a factor as well.

My young girls are 5 months old and just came into laying. My older girls are just over a year. Some of the eggs are double yolks and some of them are just big. I guess that's because they are new into laying.

Lol! If roosters caused that they'd gang up and kill him.

If they are just coming into lay, then that is probably the reason for the double yolkers. Sometimes once they get the "kinks" worked out they will just lay single yolk eggs.
