Don't ask me how we came up with it-- but we ran with it-- one of us decided to tell them they could come over for dinner-- but all we at was cat and dog food. They didn't believe us-- so we each nibbled on the Meow Mix and MilkBones in the cabinet-- just long enough for them to "believe" us... They didn't taste horrible-- but I am VERY glad we had no canned pet food in the house that day!!!!

They never did stick around much after that

I sampled horse feed, and a large variety of dog treats. I have no real desire to sample the chicken feed - however, if I made my own chicken feed I would sample it along the way to making a batch to make sure ingredients were fresh. But I can't afford to feed my chickens from the bulk aisle of Whole Foods; so, chances are I won't be trying any of my chickens food for quite some time.
