UMMM. Please tell me what color Mallard eggs are.

My step dad called me a few week or so ago and said he was in one of his fields and was about to plow under a mallard nest. I went and got the eggs and popped them in the bator.
I heard one peep today so they have internally pipped.
So I came on here and did some research on mallard eggs hatching. Some of the posts I found talks about the eggs color and people say its a blue tinged egg.
The ones I have about to hatch in the incubator are the same color as brown chicken eggs maybe a touch lighter.
I did a google search for Mallard egg pics and they all seem very light, almost white.
So what color are they?

Mine are green. Like a muddy green

My Runner's are pretty green, my Mallard's are brownish-green, dull looking.

Hmmm. Muddy green sounds sort of right. However when I google searched images they were quite light. Who knows, I let you know when they hatch.

Mine are like... I don't know, bright green?
It's not muddy green.

But I realize everybody's ducks are different.



Keep this incident hush-hush since fines are steep for even owning wild mallard feathers... Make sure to clip their toe or something!

mine both lay really pretty dark teal colored eggs *hugs eggs*
