UN-FOLLOW THREAD FEATURE

How is it when I click the option to "Un-follow Thread", I still keep having my alerts going off, over and over again. I am trying to avoid a particular thread but alerts won't stop.

What is the purpose of having the un-follow tab if obviously my alerts keep poping up? What does this UN FOLLOW feature do?

Have you tried clearing your browser and re clicking the unfollow yet?

I thought of that. But I am logged into these as well BackYardHerds.com SufficientSelf.com TheEasyGarden.com
I would have to log back into 4 sites I frequent regularly. I will do a browser wash as a last resort though. Thanks kiki..

I am almost positive it will fix the problem.

I just came back from all those sites checking my followed threads. One thread was important on the herds. I will sweep my browser now.

Now if I can just remember where I left my password list.

I logged out, completely dumped out and wiped clean my cookies/browser/cashe.. logged back in, still getting alerts from that thread.

Are the alerts for new posts or for things like likes and mentions? I don't think you can avoid the latter two.
