The bantoms are quick little guys so not the best pics but the best I could do before tropical storm Debbie decided to dump on us some more and we had to coop up the birds,

thanks in advance for any info to help us with our new endevuor 8)

This one looks like a rooster

And the others look more girlish but I'm kinda confused on some of them.....so I'll just post the ones that I know are roosters.

thanks we were thinking both the rocks were roos and not pullets as their actions attitudes and stances are quite different as well as the combs, But being 3 diferent breeds we went by what we baught them as,
All the full sized breeds were supposed to be pullets and the Bantoms are all straight run, but as I understand it sexing is like 80 to 90% accurate and kind of a best guese situation.

Maybe we will get better luck with the little guys 8)

The two you identified as Barred Rocks are cockerels. At that age, pullets should still have a yellow comb. From the coloration, I'd also say their breeding is quite suspect. A true bred Barred Rock cockerel should have much brighter, almost silver looking coloration. Your instincts seem correct.

The New Hampshires (there is no Red in their name) look extremely light, but that could just be the photo lighting. Too early to tell. Enjoy your new adventure.

Thanks I was afraid of that,
As for the little bluish bantom and the little tan and white one any gueses at what type they are?

The new Hampshires one is quite dark the other a bit lighter the pics were quick shots since there was a storm band coming thrue so it is quite cloudy out.

Well an update and older rock pics.
we lost one to "we think" a snake she was just fine 20 minutes earlier and Mary heard a ruckas and went out to see all but one chicken on the coop, the one not on the coop was dead,
I belive 1st thoughts on roo were wrong as we got 3 more for my daughter and there is a visible difference in coloration!

Here she is again just to be sure,

And the little roo we got for my daughter, he was dust bathing but it is the best shot I got.
