is there still a way to look at all of the unanswered posts?

Yes.

If you look towards the top of the thread (above the first post) you will see "All Forums: New Posts" If you click on the little downward pointing triangle you will get a drop down menu. Select "Unanswered" in the list (second from bottom)

That should do it.
