I am hopefully picking up 3 hybrids next week so will post pictures then. Very excited!

Congratulations on finishing your coop. It is adorable, but hopefully you don't have predators in your area such as dogs, raccoons, cats, weasels, hawks, snakes, foxes, rats, opossums, etc. as your chicken wire enclosure will be extremely vulnerable to predators and I would hate to see you lose your flock. There is a good article at http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2013/07/11-tips-for-predator-proofing-chickens.html on predator proofing your chickens.

Thank you,
Predators are down to a minimum. I'm in the UK so no issues with raccoons etc, foxes and rats could be an issue but I have three chicken proof dogs who will patrol the area supervised to lay their scent. I also have alpacas who as we know are brilliant fox guards, and 4 very loud children who will warn me if there is an intruder. They will be shut up at night time so taking all precautions. It's all trial and error I suppose

You're welcome. I'm glad to hear that predators aren't an issue in your area.)

Well my lovely ladies have been with us for almost a week now. In the end I went for 3 Suffolk blues. Agatha, Beatrice and Cecily. They are great fun, very confident and can deal with the children. I often find myself sitting with them as they are so calming and really cheer up my day.
I clipped wings on day one and thought our fencing would keep them in. Turns out Beatrice was more tenacious and hopped onto the fence. This led to an extension resulting in 7ft chicken wire. All worth it though. Just waiting for them to start laying
