can chickens and chicks eat themselves to death ?
was told Yes & No. Wanting to get or make a automatic feeder, but I don't want to if there might be a problem

I suppose every bird is an individual and you could theoretically wind up with one that has an eating disorder, heh. But I can tell you that I have always fed all my chickens free choice and they have never eaten themselves to death.

My chickens always have food available. I think that only dogs and humans will overeat.
