EGG SHELL MEMBRANE for wounds:

I had a situation where one of my dogs skin was torn away and the wound was about 4" long and 2" across just below the elbow. I used eggshell membranes (!) from my eggs and the wound healed completely. I also supplemented with extra vitamin C and Vitamin E in the food. I learned about the healing qualities of egg shell membrane in my food-healing course and it was the very first time I used it. It worked "miracles". Even the hair grew back and no scarring. (And yes, I used an E-collar to keep the dog from licking). I am now totally convinced that eggshell membranes will completely heal any wound.

I just peeled it out of the fresh egg and placed it, the gooey side on the wound and replaced it often twice daily in the spots where it would not stay. I put lose gauze over the egg membranes to keep them in place and to keep the dirt out. I changed the gauze daily. I noticed that the egg membrane would literally seal the wound and "grow" into it until the skin had healed.
