Unconscious chicken

I bought my chicken today it is a buff polish it was perfectly healthy when I bought it. I bought them in a breeding pair with 2 chickens in 1 bag. I got home and took the chickens out of the bag, the female was perfectly conscious but the male seemed dead. I started holding it and it was still breathing, we started giving it water with a dropper and sugar water. It would wake up or open his eyes for a while but went back out, Sometimes he kicks his legs. As of now when Im posting this he has been doing this for 5 hours. I texted the owner to ask him if he knows any thing and the best answer he could say is he is over heated and passed out he told me to put water over his fore head. Now it is dark and the chicken should be cooled off but he is still unconscious. In total he has been given water and sugar water through a eye dropper and water on his head. He has coughed up some water but is still breathing, sometimes it's a deep breath or a shallow one but I'm not sure if that matters much. Overall he is breathing and I am concerned what is wrong with him, if anyone has any idea please let me know.

Have you tried adding egg yolk to the sugar water or nutridrench? Did you see them before they went into the bag? Why did you choose a bag to move them?

No I have not tried using egg yolk but I did see them before they were put on the bag they were perfectly fine and the bag was chosen by the seller but he had a similar concern and asked me if I was leaving soon because they get hot easily and I if I was staying at the flea market to hold him but after I bought the pair I left and had about an hour drive home

So it had a mesh, & breathable. That's good to know.

he might snap out of it, but he might not. I don't think it was the bag. I have had chickens brought to me in a bag, and while their feathers were mused for a few days, there was no ill effects.

He might have gotten too hot, or maybe the strain of a moving. I don't think it is your fault or the sellers, sometimes stuff happens.
