Under developed ducklings

I think they are just fine
Sometimes if they were squished in the egg the feet will be curled up but usually 24-48 hours they are straight
I am curious about the bib on that duckling though. I didn’t know Cayuga ducklings had those
Maybe their not Cayugas but they are a pure breed. I got them as eggs to hatch as a birthday present from a breeder but my grandma didn’t ask the breed and they both have bibs ( only two hatched)

Looking online I see other babies with the bib for Cayuga
I haven’t hatched them before so never knew
We learn new things everyday :)
So maybe they are
But I don’t think calls
The beak is normal
Baby is only a day old
if babies feet don’t straighten out by tomorrow you may need to make shoes for him/ her

Ok thank you so much it’s just I’ve tried 4 or five times to hatch ducks for a second time and never could till now and now all I want to do is hold them and be with them and WOW their beaks is are so tiny like it looks like you can just snap it off!

I’m glad you finally got some little fluff balls to enjoy
They will grow fast. I use the chicken waterer for about 3 days then need to buy a deeper dish I cut holes in the lid so they don’t jump in
As they will get wet and cold
But I also leave the chicken waterer for the first week
They need to be able to dunk their heads ti clear the nares and eyes

Yeah when I move them they will probably be using a feeder that’s not an automatic feeder. The feeder I’m gonna be using should be deep enough
