I would take the tape off and see how it does

I don't think the tape alone can help it. I have seen on here where people have used a piece of carboard taped to its foot to give it more support. I don't know if that would help it or not but you might try that.

I’ve tried it on chicks and it helped so I’ll Try it if the tape come off and nothing changes
