My cockeral has an underbite. It's not a real bad one but I am wondering how much of a chance would this "underbite", an undesirable trait, be passed down to the offspring? I'm pretty sure that he is a Russian Orloof and they are on the critical list of endangered heritage breeds so I was hoping to maybe try to mate him and get an Orloof flock going. I'm pretty sure that is something that wouldn't be wanted in a flock so I was just wondering what you folks thought. Here is a pic of "Link" (my kids named him

I think the underbite is just a jaw deformaty, It shouldn't be passed down in breeding, but I'm no expert, I can't even spell.

I will try to do some searching myself and see. I was just wondering if anyone here knew anything about that or not.
