this is a civil war period correct reproduction baby quilt that I made for a friend. It was the third I made for her as she is a re enactor. It is hand pieced and quilted.

Eggnog: I used to drink the stuff straight. I didn't get eggnog FLAVORED DRINK! Yuk! Real eggnog, thick and rich. Now, I cut it in half with 2% fat milk. Sometimes I cut it to 1/3 eggnog 2/3 milk... mixed up in my glass.

Very nice! I love the Civil War era, as well. Always thought it would be fun to try re-enacting, but I never had enough guts to actually join a unit.

That if VERY nice! I love the colors and pattern. Did you get the material from Whittles? I checked them out and they have some very nice material. I just don't like to order online. I walk around the store, find what I like and lay the bolts side by side, in the order I want to use it. Then look some more until I get the colors just right. It takes me quite awhile to pick out my material!!!

I feel there is more of a choice in civil war repros on line then in fabric stores. I bought the border called Cynthias Scrap Bag (OOP) at Marshall Dry Goods and the geese were random reprosI have in my stash.

Thanks to all of you. I am going to have to make some notes to remember everything. I just assumed half and half was something you just bought, not made up. I'll let you know if any of my cooking results in anything edible.

Rosie's Mum is hospital right now as you know. I haven't heard from her for a couple of days. She was staying with her Mum for a week but now will be there for a couple of weeks. Must admit I'm quite worried for her. She is not well either. 2014 is not being a good year for us and many of our friends here in Lincolnshire. Guess it's just the way it happens sometimes.
