I think my post is gone, so here we go again.

@fenrosie I'm sorry to read about you mother, please give her our best and I hope she has a speedy recovery, will keep her in my prayers.

@majack sorry to hear about 2014 not getting of to a good start, I hope things get better for you and your friends in the second half.

one more space then we are full !!!!

thanks for all the posts and pics and links they are most helpful and the quilt is just beautiful and so creative kassaundra, thanks for sharing.

Yes, need to add something? Let me know and I will wait for it
My multi post clicks are not working!

I wanted to tell majack that half & half IS something we buy from the store, though it would be possible to mix up your own if you wanted to.

katsdar, I just thought we might be able to get a set of inexpensive standard measuring cups/spoons to put in there with whatever else is going to help her out with her Americanized recipes.

Thanks to all of you. I am going to have to make some notes to remember everything. I just assumed half and half was something you just bought, not made up. I'll let you know if any of my cooking results in anything edible.

Rosie's Mum is hospital right now as you know. I haven't heard from her for a couple of days. She was staying with her Mum for a week but now will be there for a couple of weeks. Must admit I'm quite worried for her. She is not well either. 2014 is not being a good year for us and many of our friends here in Lincolnshire. Guess it's just the way it happens sometimes.

Thanks for listening.

It is something you just buy already in the carton here, I think she was giving you a way to make it w/ what you have available

Forgot to say, I heard from Rosie about an hour ago. Her Mum has been diagnosed and is being treated now and we are hopeful that it is much less than we feared. However, young George fell off his skateboard just as Rosie and her sister were leaving for the hospital and has cracked a bone in his arm. It doesn't rain, it pours. And her hubby Peter is here in Lincolnshire trying to bring the wheat in with the weather acting up and he is complaining that the heavy wind has been knocking the seeds out of the wheat ears!

Hi fenrosie! I see you are here now. I hope everything is going to work out and your mum gets the treatment she needs and is back to normal very soon. Keep your eyes on Jesus,The Great Healer. We are praying for you over here. Praying your DH gets his crops in with little loss.

I think I'm going to go get my material tomorrow!

Lacyblue, Walmart has nice material and I buy some there also. I think I'm going to try somewhere else just to get something different. We have a Joanns fabrics about 45 minutes from me and I buy alot of mine there. But last time I bought material there, nothing seemed to pop for me. I bought the material for the chicken block at Hobby Lobby. You can go online and get a 40% off coupon. They had some different material, but not a large selection. Since I don't need lots of material, I may try a nice quilt shop that I have been to. If I don't find anything there, I may go back to Joannes or Hobby Lobby. But no matter where I buy it, I"M PRETTY EXCITED!!!!

Hobby Lobby does have a great variety, we have one right next to the Hancock Fabrics, but I can't go in the HL store until after the first of the year. It is not an asthma friendly store.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers everyone. Mum has been taken to the cardiac unit at Brighton and they will try to remove the fluid from her heart and lungs tomorrow so I will no more in 24 hours time. It was like a farce at the hospital today, I got a call on my mobile from the ward my mother was on telling me she was being taken to Brighton by ambulance just as I was explaining to the doctor that George couldn't visit the fracture clinic there in ten days time as we would be back home by then. He said he would write me a letter to take, I said I would be back in a little while as had to go to my Mother. They were all ready putting her on a trolley when I got there and the driver told us that we shouldn't follow as they had been told to go on blue lights. I went back to the desk to get my letter that the doctor was still typing and he looked surprised when I spoke to the woman being wheeled past to the ambulance bay. I just said " oh that's my Mother, she's being blue lighted to Brighton!" We just both laughed and he said " you've had quite an afternoon really, havnt you!"
