I don't think so. The color scheme is wrong. I'd have to make 4 but the chances of that happening are pretty slim. I can't see well enough up close to do four of them but thanks for the idea!

How about a nice little surprise on the back side of the quilt, maybe incorporated into a label?

Hi ladies, just been reading today's chat on the British Isles Contemporary Quilt Group, both Rosie and I are members, and they have put out a call for knitted jumpers for hens rescued from battery farms. As you know they are featherless and won't survive the winter cold. See, chickens get in everywhere! Even a national group that are not knitters or particularly chicken keepers.

majack I'm sorry for those poor hens, they would not like my attempts at knitting, dish washing cloths only

I had to look up your site British Isles Contemporary Quilt Group. Wonderful photos of so many facets of quilting, I loved them all.

Katsdar I'm so excited to get these UGRR blocks, I 'm going to make them into a quilt for my DH birthday, he has been interested in this since we started them. I already trying to get the layout right, measuring borders and whatnot.
Now I see we get a a special gift from over the pond! How wonderful! Christmas again..

I'm with you there RustyHen. I have the patience of a saint when it comes to embroidery, quilting or beading but can't bear knitting and have totally failed any attempt at crochet.

So!!!

Do we know what we're doing next?

Didn't somebody have a suggestion at one point?

the blocks are ready to go to the Post office and I take them on thursday!!!! wow another successful swap, thank you so much ladies.

Anyone here from keepmumsane? she must be really enjoying her summer, can't wait till it's over, I want warm weather!!!!

I was poking around online looking for a sampler quilt of sorts as this one seems to have gone very well and the colors should all go together well too!

I didn't find one but I did stumble across this block. It looks simple enough and the color family is real easy on the eyes.

It says to choose a bird to put in the middle and I like birds a lot but it wouldn't have to be birds. Any forest creature would do and it would still go with the color family. It's just another idea so I'm tossing it out there. What do y'all think?

Forgot to say: We would only do the center portion of this large block and making it 12" would be easy.
