How about the four patch chain and off white or light warm yellow, but not bright. I agree on limiting the colors too... maybe warm reds, like maroon or burgundy and maybe darker greens and tans or browns?

Hi all sorry have not been on. In process of making baby quilt. I like the chain as well. I like yellow and purple/lavender. how is everyone

If we do the four patch chain, I think we should control the colors of the chain like off white and black, navy or dark green, so they would work better together. All the blocks would blend at that point.

@anna6 even if you get the template the blocks will not line up so don't freak, saying from experience, I got the template and no matter how you measure/cut they don't line up perfectly, but it adds to the charm

as for colors, that was just suggestions to get you ladies talking

I do like the colors being anything goes no brights with the chain being white, we could do a white on white to give it some character? we are tossing out ideas and 24 blocks since it is an easy block to do would be nice. we used to do 24 not sure how it got reduced. course just doing 12 more blocks wouldn't be that big of a deal

this is what was suggested are you all wanting to do this block? or should it be blockers choice and color of your choice no brights? Tell me what you would like.

I ended up looking at the wrong one

now I understand the color choices

both will be easy I don't care, so for the 4 patch all four patch square will be white? the chain am I on the same page now?

In the four patch chain the 4 patches would be a light and a dark either the black or navy,we would need to have that set so we would all match. The rest of the block would be what we colors we chose together,(no brights or whites) or what you all decide.
This was just my thought that I was trying to sugest so it would blend together.
