Crossing the Road
Hi! I have 7 males and 4 female ducks. Once the males are old enough I’m going to separate some of them for the females. I’m leaving about 2 drakes in there. Probably 2 Pekins. Can I have a flock of 5 boys?

Ok sounds good. Thank you. I’ll keep the males in there own thing now and I’ll move the females.just keep all the boys together and all the girls together, much easier and no worry about the boys being aggressive or overmating the girls
my boys who are with just each other and no girls are ok
I have a similar problem. My Khaki Campbells are just about 3 months old. I have 3 females and 5 males. My ratio is not good. Just curious, do you have lots of space? I live in the suburbs around Philadelphia. My yard is just about .25 acre. I like the idea of having a male and female separated but I don't know if my yard is big enough.just keep all the boys together and all the girls together, much easier and no worry about the boys being aggressive or overmating the girls

That's good to know. My daughter hatched them and handles them daily. They are very sweet. She was sad at the prospect of having to rehome the drakes. It might be a good solution for us.my yard is less than that and i do it
