Unexpected owner of 6 young chicks found by side of the road...

Just an update. The chicks are all doing well, still in my living room coop. It looks like their adult feathers and crowns are starting to come in.
Here's a couple of pics I just took after doing a coop clean out.

I added some pine branches to the coop, which the chicks enjoy but it also blocked the live cam view, so I killed the broadcast. I'm testing it out again now, but the image quality is really bad, so it probably won't be up for very long. If I can stretch the cam's USB cable closer to the cage then I might restart it again.

Edit: Giving up hope on the cam for now.
btw, the black one is named Tony. The 2 white ones and 3 grays remain nameless cuz I can't tell who is who yet.

Awesome!
I agree that the black one is probably a roo....
In the last pic, looks like the white one standing up is a pullet, and the one eating beside it a roo. Harder to tell with the grey ones.

Great job on the rescue and I enjoyed the ten minutes of recording. Nothing beats raising hens and roos and when they start laying it gets even better. Either farm fresh eggs or new generations to raise. Just remember that the best teacher a farmer learns from is failure. For every mistake I make I fix two other things I didn't know I had done wrong.
