There always seems to be something new, doesn't there?.

My yearling goose is managing to cram herself into the small crate where the Pekin ducks lay their eggs. It's a tight fit, but she manages to get inside there. I don't know how.

Some days the gander guards the entrance and won't allow the Pekins in to lay. This morning, the Pekins got in there first to lay and the goose managed to crush one of the Pekin eggs. I don't know how she did that, either. It practically requires a hammer to break one of those duck eggs.

There is a larger crate all set up as a nest right next to the one she has chosen. The older goose has gone back to the nest she used last year, which is across the yard and nice and roomy. It's not like the small crate is the only nest available.

I would pull the smaller crate and leave the bigger one in its place, that when she forces her way in she'll have room to move and hopefully you can ad the smaller crate near by in a day or two for the ducks again.
