Four months ago we bought five newborn chicks, thinking they were all hens. Now, one is starting to crow. I already have one roo in with my older girls, so my question is -- is it okay to try and introduce my new rooster to the existing one? The existing rooster is small and very docile, and actually the last people to own him gave him up because he was being bullied by the other roosters in their flock. If I should introduce the new rooster, should I do it now, while he's still young? All my chickens are in the same coop, just separated in different areas, so both roos have been able to see each other and there hasn't been any aggression through the fence that I have noticed. I really don't want to give up either rooster, but if it's for the best, I will consider that option. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to give advice!
