So. On Monday, 09/04/17, I found this rooster in my garage. He belongs to my neighbors. Called the police. They shooed it out and into my woods. They went next door and the neighbor says that they do not own a rooster. ( Funny that I have heard this thing every day all day for the past few years. ) He came back and perched on my deck railing. He has not and will not leave. What kind of rooster is this and will he hurt me if I approach him. I put a can of corn out for him yesterday as I am now feeling really bad for the lil guy. Last night, we had a pouring rain storm and he had his head inside his wing. Help! What do I do. and... before you say it... I will not kill him... His name is Ronald the Rooster.

:welcomemaybe more like he is hanging out with you he did the same with them do you have a flock? I admit I have no idea of the breed

He looks like an oriental game bird mix. Judging by his spurs, he's around a year old.

You can keep him or get rid of him. If you keep him, he's gonna need company, so get a few hens or another rooster.

So...why did you have to call the police to get him out of the garage?? What makes you so sure he's your neighbor's?

My neighbor has a huge coop with an unknown number of chickens and an unknown number of roosters. they crow all day every day. I first went to my neighbor to ask if they would please come over to get their rooster. They said they do not have any. That is when I called the police. THey are in violation of a city ordinance against farm animals. They have had chickens for years and years and I have never cared. Not until now that I am being involved. They refuse to take him back and to be honest I don't think he wants to go back.
