Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

After all the time I spend making sure my gals and one guy get the best care this is how they reward me....
I caught two planning to escape:
Beak by beak they were taking sand out of the hole:
Stan stands watch:
But he is distracted by quarreling hens:
I use my superior brain and shake my dirty shoe at the gal trying to escape:
She forgets her plans to escape as she continues to clean my shoe:
And I bribe her to stay with a snack:
