Nice to meet you, too! Yes, ours do eat the powder. My 8 year old is in charge of food grinding and let me tell you, she grinds it FINE! (She's not about to let any babies choke on her watch! LOL)
Five of our itty-bitty's are almost 2 weeks older than the two littlest babies that we are still grinding food for, we put the babies in with the older birds so the older ones are STILL eating the ground up food. They are doing fine. (My DH loves to drop small pieces of cooked noodle in their cage and they go wild.)
Serama's must be incredibly nurturing. These bigger birds took on the mommy role with these two littler ones immediately. At night I find them all snuggled up with the two babies tucked under an older ones wings with their head laying on the shoulder (or whatever its called in a bird.)
