If eggs don't hatch after sitting under a broody hen are they safe to be eaten?

Sorry, no.
It is an either/ or.

Breakfast, or try for some babies.
If they have been there for long enough that the should have hatched.... you don’t want to crack them...

I wouldn't eat an egg if it's been sitting under a broody for a day or two.

If you have an egg that has been sitting under a broody and hasn't hatched/died it'll be very rotten and or have a partially developed chick in it.

What day are you on? Have you candled your eggs at all?

Thanks for the information. So in short when my hens go broody let her hatch them or take the eggs daily.

Yes. Or. instead of just taking eggs, break your broody instead.
