Unhealthy chic question

I got a new chic that hatched about 8 hours ago but it will only lay on his side and wiggle around. He has no ability to try to roll over onto his feet or his belly. He just wants to wiggle on his side around or sleep on his side. What should I do with him when it's time for him to come out of the incubator, move him to the brooder with the other chic or what... please advise as I feel sorry for this little guy and I don't believe in letting animals suffer either but if he has a chance than I want him to have that too.

Quail Jailer. Now those two words = image of Jelly meat. Not the kindest response. A sharp knife or poultry scissors is a better option, same result and not so messy.

If you're looking to be humane the Co2 method is probably the least distressing for little ones.

James posted a good example some time back. most articles are geared to killing mice but works on quail. look in the archives or google.
