hey maybe its a brooder for liiike 3 chicks!!!!????
That's SO horrible!!

I would pay a little for it if I was brooding grow off bird's in my basement or in one of my buildings summer month's.Chickens need something out of the element's especialy here in Virginia.I wouldn't have even used that for a rabbit hutch when I had my rabbit's.No Cover at all cept roof.Need's at least 3 side's covered.Go to Lowe's you can buy a LOT of plywood and lumber for $600 and some roofing too if ya wanna get fancy!.You could probably build a few nice one's for that price.

yeah.. very expensive too!! I think my 8'x8'x8' coop was only about $300!!!

You mean I can make something that is useless, doesn't fulfill its purpose, and then charge an arm and a leg on craigslist?!!!!
What people do for a buck.

he is CRAZY!!! $579 maybe 579 pennies!! I would not even pay $50 for it! I am new to chicken keeping, BUT I KNOW that is inadequate for chickens AND rabbits!!

Had to read the newer post.Yea wish my old comp hadn't crashed with the pic's of my rabbit hutch . Guess he can sell to some Redneck(pardon the pun) that think's throwing some Blue tarp over that is going to keep bird's warm in winter. Ackkkkkkkk.

I just posted an ad on CL.

There are quite a few ads on here for people selling chicken coops. Some are wonderful and I'd like to have them for my own birds. Others; not so much. To those who are new to chickens, I'd like to offer up some basic chicken-keeping math and information.
Chickens need at least 4 square feet of space, PER BIRD, in the coop. So if you have a 4' x 4' chicken house/coop, you can comfortably house 4 standard sized chickens. The coop also needs to have adequate light and ventilation. This does not mean they should have drafts blowing on them, but clean, fresh air coming in through a vent, even in winter ( In exceedingly cold weather, you can always cover them with plastic).
Chickens need at least 10 square feet of space, per bird, in the run/pen/ outside space. If you give them less space in the house or run, you will run the risk of stressing them, which can lead to feather picking, fighting, and cannibalism. Best case scenario, they won't lay as well for you.
Backyardchickens.com is a friendly website community with lots of helpful information, and I recommend it highly. It is completely free, and chances are, if you have a question, someone will help you find the answer. I'm not being paid to post this, just concerned about seeing ads for housing that is totally inadequate for the number of birds advertised. Chicken keeping should be comfortable and humane for both the keeper AND the chicken, even if your birds eventually end up on your table. Thanks for reading. : )

Hey guys, you didn't check out his youtube video showing all its Great(?) attributes. For cool weather he did have thin panels to cover the sides I think they were plastic. There you go, ready for the north pole and whatever else nature can hand you. Maybe the price is a typo - maybe he meant to write 57.90, still too high. Hope some newbie doesn't get taken in and buy one.
