So I hatched the fabulous 4 a month ago same Silkie mom and Frizzle dad and I ended up with 3 different feathers types 🤔 one baby is beyond beautiful IMO I have never seen this type of feathers with the Silkie frizzle combo. Maybe it happens but I haven’t seen it. If you have a chicken with the same combo and it looks like the first chicken pic please post it.
Fist pic is my stunning baby 2-3 are my frizzle looking and #4 is kinda naked in spots 😂 I’m loving all the differences

Satin feathers?
I don’t think so as my Silkie is the pretty standard puff ball Silkie. And that beautiful baby is truly much whiter then I have ever seen (can’t tell by pics) and those feathers are beyond soft. Then again I don’t know how they make the satin silkies.. if it was warm (just snow rt now) I would take her outside and get better pics

They're just silkies without two silkie genes. The frizzle likely passed his normal gene to her

i was just reading about how they are (made) lol and yes apparently that is what she is. Was looking at google pics of satin Silkie and I have to say although they look extremely like her she still looks a softer and different. (I’m saying she although I don’t actually know yet but pretty sure it is. She is just stunning IMO
