University of California Egg Study

Wonders how this compares to eggs from birds not exposed to the fires?
I expect that there will be a more comprehensive results later.

I will also submit more eggs if they want to see if this years fires changed anything. There were fires much closer to me this year and We were sent home with pay for 10 days because it was too toxic on Campus. Many buildings here have fresh air systems without particle filters.

Eggs are a good source of copper in the diet. It is one of the few sources. From what I can tell, the eggs tested were lower in copper than average.
So you need to start grinding up pennies in their food? ;)

It would be interesting to see what eggs from those of us that didn't have bad juju environmental influences show for those tested substances.

Yes it would!

I was worried about arsenic because Woodland grew a lot of tomatoes when arsenic was used as a pesticide. It looks like I am fine with that one

According to this site, an extra large egg contains 0.1mg of copper. 30.2 micrograms = .0302 milligrams meaning it is less than normal.

Ahh okay. Very interesting. Thank you. I guess it just seemed high compared to the other numbers.

I never knew that, thanks. And oh that's good.
