The smoke did cause a lot of problems for those with breathing issues. It is great that you are recovering from pneumonia!

actually feeling pretty strong bit of runny nose but seem to be back to strong self now

We had that a lot when I was growing up just south of L.A. in the 60's. Not from fires, smog. Nasty stuff. Clean air is a must.

I read a news story about an egg Study to see if backyard chicken eggs are picking up toxins and poisons in backyard chicken flocks from the environment.

The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine (UCD SVM) is providing free egg contaminant testing for backyard chicken owners in the state of California. We are testing eggs for two different types of contaminants, depending on what county you live in.

Results will be shared individually with each owner, and cumulative results will be summarized and made available to the general public.

Apparently they have ended the study. The website says they are no longer accepting submissions. I guess this month, September, was their last month. But thanks!

I am waiting for my results and will post them when I get them.

I suspect there will be a followup study

I have not. I did get an email from a grad student telling me that testing and results were taking longer than anticipated and thanking me for staying patient. That was on 9/22.
