Unknown brown duck and new hatchlings

View attachment 2367289Okay so i have 4 adult ducks 1 fawn and white Indian Runner drake a fawn and white female Indian runner and a white perkin drake... Then i have some brown duck? Not sure what she is so thats question 1. I ended up incubating some of their eggs, no idea of which patents are of whoes but curious now that im on this forum. So i hatched many black and yellow chicks and one oddball of the group only one not black and yellow. May not be important but my impatient curiosity is certainly there. Ok, I love trying to figure out duck genetics but I am still learning. I think your black and yellow ducklings have to be from your Pekin drake and Fawn and White Runner hen. The Pekin is the only one who carries black and the Runner carries the Runner allele which makes the patched pattern. The brown duckling has me a little stumped. I am thinking the the Runner drake and Khaki (brown) hen are the parents. I am just surprised by the facial stripes. I thought Fawn and Whites carry dusky?! Those are my best guesses though. I would expect the black and yellow ducklings to grow up looking similar to a Magpie duck and the brown duckling to look like your Khaki but with facial stripes and some white (google Pied Call Duck).

You are right he looks like the call duck ducklings. I hope he grows up as cute as them. He hatched a weak runt and tiny compared to my others and almost didint make it. So hes now a spoiled pet.
