I have two bantam chicks and they both are having some diarrhea. Not all of their poops but enough for me to notice. They are 1.5 weeks old and very happy, energetic, and loving life. This is my first time having chicks and I don’t know why this is happening. Will they be ok? Should I treat them with something? The poo colors are light to dark brown.

Hi,

Had you given them any vitamin water? Sometimes that can cause diarrhea.

It looks like your bedding is alfalfa or hay? They might be eating that causing diarrhea too.

You could try remove them from that and put them on paper towels for a couple of days. Also, probiotic water might help as well. We use HydroHen but there's a ton of different powders for poultry water.

Thank you so much! I tried probiotics in their water and poops are already looking better! :)
