You have to actually look inside the their vent to sex chicks. They won't have anything at all that you can feel.

I think that’s what many of us call a Barnyard Mix chicken .

i forgot to update this thread. here's a current photo of him. great coloring and he's pretty chill, not aggressive from what I've witnessed. early on as he was maturing he'd form a few scuffles with my silkie rooster but it's been a while

This is the first chicken that the term “rose comb” has really made sense to me lol.
