Unknown content in chicken excrement? Thoughts? WORM TREATMENT WITH 99% PURE POWDERED FENBENDAZOLE

Seems the common chicken worms are "normal" given outdoor access?

My flock has roundworms, chickens have not yet shown external signs (ie healthy, comb/waddle are bright, etc.). Should one treat preventatively for worms?

Ideally, you would do routine fecals and de-worm based on what was found. Since you are seeing worms in poop, you should de-worm the whole flock.

How often should you deworm chickens? I’m sure I don’t do it often enough
See @casportpony post 15 above.

One should de-worm when a fecal float test indicates there is a problem to be dealt with. One should NOT do a preventative de-worming without knowing it is required.

I have read that fecal tests should be done every 3-6 months.

I have looked on Amazon, to do a fecal test seems I need:
  1. Sample collection bottle
  2. Fecal test solution
  3. Microscope slides
  4. Microscope
Is this correct, is there an easier method?

@casportpony @Wyorp Rock Thank you.
You could learn how to do it yourself (@KsKingBee does his fecals), but I was thinking something more along the lines of collecting the poop and sending it off to a lab or a vet.
